Despicable

Our Jackass-in-Chief can’t remember the names or circumstances of just two Medal of Honor Recipients despite having personally awarded both Medals.

(Flashback: Obama presented the nation’s highest military medal to Paul and Janet Monti Sept. 17,  2009, for their son who was killed in action; and promptly forgot all about it.)

This occurred yesterday as the endless Obama campaign rolled on; Ft. Drum’s 10th Mountain Division was added to the itinerary so that Obama can get B-roll footage for his re-election campaign commercials.

While dishonoring the army base with his presence, Obama said:

“I had the great honor of seeing some of you (in Afghanistan) because a comrade of yours, Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honor to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously.” the president said.

One problem, Barry… SFC Monti was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 21, 2006, during an attempted rescue of a comrade. You met his parents, you discussed his actions.

Obama’s mouthpiece later explained POTUS “misspoke”… my ass.

Obama cares more about George Soros and giving the New Black Panther Party get out of jail free cards than he does SFC Monti, and his still-grieving parents.

The spokesman further explained that Barry confused SSgt Salvatore Giunta (right), the first living Recipient of The Medal since Vietnam with SFC Monti.

No wonder he can’t keep the dead and the living straight… all white boys look alike.

And as usual, playing the faux populist Obama continued before his trapped audience, “Throughout my service, first as a senator and then as a presidential President Obama greets troops from the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division in a dining hall at Fort Drum June 23, 2011 in Fort Drum, New York.candidate and then as a President, I’ve always run into you guys. And for some reason it’s always in some rough spots.”

His “service”…. his bloody “SERVICE”?

The craven bastard attached himself to their combat service through the infinitesimal association of his spending minutes in a war zone as the safest person in-country.

Some one on FB where I posted last night was offended and seemed to be saying that by claiming that the president acts like all white folk look alike… I might be a racist.

I know, hard to follow.

I responded:

“I was (ironically/sarcastically) giving him the benefit of being a racist for  not being able to keep two white boys straight, especially when one has been dead for five years, and the other is the only one in 40+ years to live to wear the Medal… and it was Obama who placed it around SSgt Sal Giunta’s neck.

“If he cared even slightly, his towering intellect should have allowed him to keep the two straight for at least a few months… I can.

“The alternative to his being a racist (and what I really believe) is that Obama is a despicable, anti-American scumbag who does not give a damn about the Medal of Honor, dead soldiers, their grieving families or the military, yet sends our young troops to their deaths.”

Obama’s indifference is a moral outrage which renders him unworthy to touch the
Medal of Honor, let alone award it. Not only is he the worst president in history,
he is an even worse human being.

May Jared Monti, one of America’s greatest heroes, rest in eternal peace and be remembered long after dime-a-dozen politicians are relegated to the dustbin of history.

Craven bastard is being too generous to the communist son of a bitch. Your FB commenter needs to drag their head from their posterior.

  3. I think this falls mostly on deaf ears. The problem here is that you act like anyone besides us give a damn. To most people — because they have no perspective — military awards are just something handed out.

I have very little hope this will change unless we are engaged in a war like WW2…and that ain’t gonna happen. The MOH program tries to change this and does a hell of a job, but it’s just far too small. DFW media treats it as a non-event.

Obama could flub this stuff all day long and the only people who will complain about it are us — not *me and you* us, of course. I think you know who I mean by that.

Your post is awesome. I wrote a much more restrained opinion, but yeah. Thanks for filling in the blanks for me. (Bob Macky led me here btw).

Two typos. I am totally OCD and you can just delete this portion of my comment. First, “of just two Medal of Honor Recipients despite having personally [bestowed] both Medals.”

Second, “SFC Monti was killed in action died in Afghanistan,” just take out died.

    cheers!

  6. Keep in mind that Jared was recently all over the news not just for Operation Flag for Veterans but for Celebrate the Military Child and oh yeah, it was just the fifth anniversary of him being taken from this world. http://cthemc.org/2011/we-miss-you-sfc-jared-c-monti/ So, forgive me for being upset that The President confused two totally different soldiers. I posted this on another blog. Just so you know The President personally called Mr. Monti to apologize to him for the error. PS I wonder if anyone will ever apologize for saying that Jared died trying to save a fellow soldier. He saved that soldier. http://lakeelsinore-wildomar.patch.com/articles/lake-elsinore-woman-brings-home-story-of-fallen-soldier

    • That his mea culpa was lightning fast by Obamanation standards, someone got to him and said he had effed up in gigantic terms…. but what the hell, he and his ole lady didn’t miss a step… back to the massive fund raising and money laundering.

The problem is this:  the most innocuous mistake is still horrifying when made in the wrong circumstances.  Asking a non-pregnant lady when she is due would be a classic example.  It does not matter how harmless the question is.  It does not matter how pregnant the lady looks.

You have made a horrific error, for which you should turn beet red and apologize profusely.

The same logic applies here. This a sad excuse of an argument! Getting someone’s name wrong means Obama is a poor excuse of a human being? That’s disgusting talk is worst than passing this off as a “mistake”. Not to mention demanding the military to become disrespectful racists like here from the right! You are the disgusting human being! See how that works?

  9. I waste little time on straw man arguments and false dilemmas; Obama’s was not an innocuous or harmless mistake… his lack of interest, focus and concern about his role as Commander-in-Chief is the point.

“….demanding the military to become disrespectful racists like here from the right!”

The above exposes you as the garden variety leftie… when they cannot debate, they resort to ad hominem and scream “racist!”
