I’m going back to Cali, Cali; I’m goin’ back to Cali…. I don’t think so

Sitting on the second story deck of a great restaurant on the Oceanside Harbor with Mix a couple of months back, I was reminded of how I miss the beauty of California… its spectacular beach communities, the coastal climate and the sort of always-on-vacation, West Coast lifestyle.

But almost immediately reality pushes back.

California where they indoctrinate kindergarten children with homosexual propaganda, detest the military, undermine our national defense, side with terrorists, and where the Mayor of LA opposes stopping wetbacks, yet builds a wall around his mansion.

California where they pay school superintendents hundreds of thousands a year to turn out the next welfare/food stamp generation; where the highest-paid state employee in California, a prison surgeon, took home $777,423 last year–he has a history of mental illness, was once fired incompetence and hasn’t been allowed to treat an inmate for six years because medical supervisors don’t trust his clinical skills.

California where one of Gov. Moonbeam’s fellow Democrats, a newly-elected Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson, said recently:  “…a state of ‘financial emergency’ for California’s schools earlier this month and asked state residents to come to the aid of the state’s public education system.”

He did’t happen to mention:  California teachers are the second highest paid in the nation with an average salary of $68,000 before benefits and pension.

So, I must remain in Texas for my mental health; if I returned to Cali, regardless of where I lived, I’d be in a political, moral or ethical argument on a daily basis, and that’s not good for the BP.

As long-time faithful readers know, I’ve learned over time to avoid most arguments with
liberals. It’s much the same as dancing with a pig, you just get dirty, frustrated and it pisses off the pig.

I have a number of friends and acquaintances in Cali who frequently remind me of this (via the internet and Facebook). Many of these folks have become (or remain?) knee-jerk lefties who cannot debate their way out of a bio-degradable, Algore-approved, Whole Foods hemp shopping bag.

In order to follow the party line, they simply set aside critical thinking and in the process embarrass themselves.

Yes, they have been Californicated.

Here’s today’s example… FB Calites’ comments on the Murdock hacking scandal in the UK):

Cali 1: “This is a huge story  and Fox News doesn’t cover it. And they purport themselves to be a News Program. Go figure! Murdock is circling up the wagons like John, Eric, Mitch to protect his American interests….let’s see how Congress handles their review
of this same issue.”

Cali 2: “you betcha – I LIVE tuned in to NPR.”

Cali 3: “Not reporting it – the “fair-and-balanced-news” network isn’t reporting it? Hmmm … wonder why.”

Bitter clinger 1: “… it has been covered adequately by Fox; it’s just not the five-star story the left on this side of the pond tries to make it…. who cares what Fleet Street does, they’re all jurno-scumbags.  Fox has and continues to cover it… but why let facts get in the way of good ole fashioned bias? National Peoples Radio…. there’s a paragon of objectivity indeed.”

Cali 3: “Too bad everyone isn’t as unbiased as thee and me, huh?”

Bitter clinger 1: “… when noted NPR leftie and Obama water-carrier Jaun Williams spoke the non-PC truth about Muslims he was immediately fired for not following the democrat party rules. And what network hired him?? Anybody?? Hello?? Pesky things… those facts.”

See what I mean?

Calis oppose capital punishment but approve of murdering babies; they get grouchy when I say things like… “Is it Take Your Non-Aborted Daughter to Work Day yet?”

Like robots knee-deep in a charnel house they spit out bumper sticker slogans the left brainwashed into them more than 40 years ago: “… woman’s right to choose”, “reproductive rights”;  if they were honest, they’d proclaim themselves “pro-murder.”

Abortion is the sacrament of the Church of the Left and Cali lefties will not tolerate a
contrary opinion; they allow no philosophical debate (for they cannot/will not); for pro-death advocates it’s not an issue, it’s “tissue”, which if left alone would become Brittany who would one day visit her mother’s office.

If you simply don’t  believe we have the “right” to kill the unborn you are
ridiculed, screamed at, shouted down; just how far is such a crowd from Krystal Nacht?

By and large there are very few patriots on the left: a patriot, a Real American, is someone who loves and defends this country, who actively supports our military; who stands for the pledge and gets a bit choked up at the first strain of the National Anthem.

They believe the Constitution as written, not as a “living, changing document”
which should be heavily influenced by European law.

Didn’t we once fight a war over European law?

Here’s is a perfect example of the cluelessness and insularity of the liberal elites…

Typical Calis spend little time outside of their own state; they are narcissists who cannot conceive of discussing the other side of the issue; I’m reminded of the NYT drama critic Pauline Kael who once infamously said after the 1972  election, “I live in a rather special world. I only know one person who voted for Nixon.”

Group  Think:

Let’s say you posed the following to a deeply thoughtful leftie:

“Well, you have to admit that most everything Bush directed in the War on Terror succeeded… deposing Hussein and freeing millions, the ‘Surge’, the intel that has kept the
U.S. terror free until Barry Otero took over… and the very water boarding technique that lead to a 5.56mm bullet in OBL’s head.”

Cali response: “Bush was stoopid.”

This is why I say, and have to relearn from time to time… “talking to liberal is a
waste of ones precious time.”

When I go to Cali I feel, more than think, that I am the forever outsider. It is abundantly clear that they unable to defend their beliefs simply because they never hear any contrary points of view.

Garbage in, garbage out.

Am I picking on Cali unfairly….? I don’t think so; whatever starts in California eventually
infects the rest of the country, so the Golden State is the canary in a coal mine for those of us in the other 55 or 56 states.

Calis are unaware of or simply refuse to believe that their state is headed for bankruptcy, yet they vote for more deficit spending and higher taxes and are driving business out of state in record numbers. That’s to our benefit here in Lone Star, a right to work state with a great business climate, the state legislature is in session every other year, there is no state income tax and real estate prices are the biggest bargain going.

I actually believe Michiganistan, another democrat-controlled state which boasts a 47%  illiteracy rate,  will be first to go under, but Cali’s not far behind.

And I know where the fight will be… “Cali’s too BIG to fail… so we have to bail them
say the Browns and the Pelosis and the Boxers.

I say not just “no”,  but “damn it to Hell, no!” You made your social welfare bed, now sleep in the filthy thing.

Lefties flock to the most beautiful places in America and bring New York, San Francisco, LA, Chicago and Philly and the other leftist cess pools with them, further inducing the malignancy.

If only all blue Americans could be relocated to Cali where they can finally give up the remnants of their liberty and freedom to the Marxists while we conservative patriots run our Red States the way America began… with strict adherence to limited government, free-market capitalism and the Constitution.

We’ll see who fares better.

Hope springs eternal, even in California: Disgruntled voters in both California and Arizona are trying to secede from their respective states to escape state governments that they say are on a fast-track in the wrong direction…The Riverside County Board of Supervisors voted Tuesday to hold a meeting in late September of representatives from every city and county in California to decide if their grievances can be solved without secession. If not, the group will hammer out the details of creating a new state. http://blogs.abcnews.com/thenote/2011/07/13-california-counties-look-to-secede-create-new-state.html

I wish ’em well. That kind of thing didn’t work out too well back in 1861, but if at first you don’t secede, try, try again.

Awww come on Gary………there are still a lot of conservatives in Cali…….just like there are in parts of Oregon and Colorado……….albeit, they may be outnumbered but, there is a growing tea party movement. You just need to not focus and/or associate with the liberal scumbags.

    • I go to the West Coast often… and always enjoy my time. The problem for me lies with state government which moves farther left all the time. I wish SoCal (excluding LA) would secede… most of you guys hate LA and NoCal as much as anybody. Government workers pensions are going to overwhelm the working people.
