Thus far I have few problems with Texas Gov. Rick Perry’s early campaign tactics… coming in stealth mode and announcing after the Ames straw vote charade, avoided unnecessary conflict with GOP party leadership.
His initial rhetoric in his first address as a candidate hit many of the simple, right notes with conservatives both here and abroad:
- “…. I will not sit back and accept the path that America is on, because a great country requires a better direction, because a renewed nation needs a new president.
- “Mr. President…. “You cannot win the future by selling America off to foreign creditors. We cannot afford four more years of this rudderless leadership.””One in six work-eligible Americans cannot find a full-time job,” Perry said. “That is not a recovery. That is an economic disaster.
- “You can’t live free if you’ve got a federal government that takes over one-sixth of our economy, like they are trying to do with our health care.
- “You can’t live free knowing your children are going to inherit a mountain of debt.
- “You can’t live free if you don’t have the dignity of having a job, the income to take care of your family.
And perhaps what I like best is Perry’s immediate public embrace of his faith. I’m tired of luke-warm Christians (and Jews) who run for national office and quickly suffer “religonesia” and cannot seem to recall where they last saw their Bible or Torah. And I don’t gave a damn what liberals say about “other” religions… this is a Judeo-Christian nation, founded… practiced, maintained and protected.
… and in Mark Levin’s vernacular… “We need to stop the influx of Muslim immigrants THERE, I SAID IT and return to our religious faith history for we are chest-deep in a religious war against a fanatical evil horde of sub-humans and we cannot gain victory without God’s help; this is the end of the line.
Buddhists and atheists … ? They’re irrelevant; you don’t bother us, we don’t bother you… just like the Constitution demands.
And the best reason to embraced Perry’s bold affirmation of his faith is that a European newspaper (sic) recently reported after the prayer meeting of 30,000 devout Christians who came to Houston to hear Perry:
“Secular America watches nervously as the Christian evangelical Texas governor moves closer to presidential bid”
That’s right “secular Americans”… you should be nervous because Real America is resuming control of this country for its national and eternal religious survival; you can some along for the ride, but keep your damn mouths shout about our religion; God favors America and Israel, but only when we follow his lead.
…. we’ve been dancing solo far too long, and look where it got us.
… and indeed, pass the ammo:
Lastly, Ruger Firearms capitalized an incident las May when Perry killing a coyote with a Ruger .380 semi-auto after the critter went after his dog during an early morning jog.
For sale only to us in The Lone Star State, the commemorative pistol (about $340 retail) comes in a box that says “For Sale to Texans Only” and is marked “Coyote Special” on the ejection port side; the top of the barrel has a Texas star and a coyote howling at the full moon. this occasion.
I cannot wait for Obama’s pack dog media to learn that the GOP candidate has his only pistol… and unlike democrat asshats who merely pose with guns to throw a bone to voting “hunters”, Perry caries and uses his for self defense.
I can see the raging political cartoons now, and I’m sure Ruger cannot be more please with Perry’s announcement and his pro-Second Amendment record.
Texas… where you find Real America.
And here’s where you find our domestic enemies who work hard every day to destroy this nation, (based on John Haward’s column by in The New York Post🙂
Nineteen of the 30 families of special operators killed in action recently when a Chinook was shot down in Afghanistan asked for no media coverage of the return of the remains ceremony at Dover AFB—that request for privacy was, of course, honored….
… by everyone except Barack Obama who directed his official photographer to shoot our first Marxist president saluting in silhouette.
The White House immedi-ately pushed the shot to every major media outlet, and made it “Photo of the Day” on the POTUS website.
The disgustingly cynical use of the solemn moment for an iconic image for use in Obama’s re-election campaign is obvious… and coming soon to a political ad near you.
